Ridgekit

For the first night out, not a gear spreadsheet

Sleep outside this weekend without guessing which tent, bag, and pad actually go together

One kit. A two-person tent, a 20-degree bag, and a pad that is not a yoga mat. Packed as a single order so Thursday night stops being a research project.

The listing said beginner. The night did not.

You already hike. Now you want one night out, and every cart looks like a dare.

One tab says the tent pitches in five minutes. The next review says they were still reading the booklet at dark. The bag is “warm.” Warm according to whom.

You do not need a garage full of extras. You need to leave Friday and sleep.

Your research is not the problem. The mix-and-match is.

Cheap complete sets fail because the tent, bag, and pad were never designed as a night. You get a zipper that dies, a pad that sleeps like plywood, and a rating that was written by a copywriter. The Weekend Camp Kit is three pieces chosen to do one job: get two people through a three-season overnight without a scavenger hunt.

What you actually take

Two-Ridge Tent. Freestanding two-person shelter with color-coded poles, so you are not holding a flashlight over a manual.

Ember 20 Sleeping Bag. A 20°F mummy bag with a draft collar. Rated for real overnight cold, not brochure cold.

Cloud Pad. Inflatable pad with side baffles so you do not roll onto the tent floor at 2am.

What changes

Day 1. The box shows up. Tent, bag, pad. No third trip to a big-box aisle.

First Friday. You pitch before the light goes. Vestibule for boots. Pad inflated. Bag unzipped.

Month 1. You have a kit you can grab again. Not a pile of almost-right pieces.

Questions

Why $379 when I can find a set for less?

Bought apart, these three pieces are $417. A cheaper set usually means a weaker bag rating and a pad you will replace. This kit is for the night, not the listing photo.

Will I freeze?

The Ember 20 is rated to 20°F. That is three-season weekend cold, not a polar trip. If you sleep cold, add a liner later. Do not start with a 50-degree bag and hope.

Is this too heavy for backpacking?

It is trail-reasonable, not ultralight. If you are walking a few miles from the car, that is who it is for. If you already count grams, buy the pieces you still need.

I already own a pad.

Buy the Two-Ridge Tent or Ember 20 on their own pages. This kit is for people starting from zero.

What if it is wrong?

Unused gear in original packaging, 30 days, full refund. Used gear for a weekend is yours.
